About Us

Sometimes you have an idea and want to start by collaborating to give it legs. Other times you have a campaign and need to execute some sort of online experience. Then there are those occasions where you have a bucket of money and just want to make something, anything, lets have fun. Where ever you are in the proccess, we would love to create with you.

We have two agile teams on the west coast in Portland, OR and San Diego, CA—each with a set of core capabilities that compliment each other. We also keep pockets full of contractors on retainer all over the country that are especially good at what they do. No matter the size of your project, we can put the perfect amount of people in front of it, behind or inside it.

Our entire staff is comprised of self-starters and individuals that don't need to be micro- managed—and we really like it that way. We have three solid points of contact that bridge communication for creative, strategy, and technology that are available any time and will respond with a 'we got your email' email at the very least. Simple, we know, but you'd be surprised how much it matters. We understand the anxieties that come with project communication and deadlines, and how much the simple things count. Those things are second nature at GPA and we're really looking forward to building a great relationship with you.

People

image

David Mikula

The Indiana Jones of Awesome / Creative Principal

David Mikula has one green eye that's greener than the other and an obscene nerdy passion for all things Japanese, dinosaurs, mopeds and Devo. He sometimes has a neck beard, or feral neck bear depending on how well you know him and he loves talking about the future with anyone who will listen. Living in Portland, Oregon he plays pinball, drinks the most delicious coffee, collects toys, and writes for Lost at E Minor.

Joshua Tuscan

The Director of the Dark Arts / Strategic Principal

Joshua Tuscan once cried because he couldn't draw a tree the way he saw it in his head. Granted, it was kindergarten, but it was a defining moment. One of his lifelong goals has been to ride a horse through a shallow lake, seriously, it's in his grade school journal. He lived in Barbados for a while where he almost lost his toe, which has stood as a metaphor in his life for that time. He watches a lot of movies and sometimes he fears that it is cutting into his ability to learn foreign languages. Oh yeah, he likes to write beautiful, validated code.

Jozias Dawson

Never Sleeping Science Junky / Creative Lead

Obsessed with space & design and the mysteries of both, he hunts for Bigfoot and loves simple Swedish food. With 9 years self of exploration and deep conversations with the summonings of his Ouija Board, Jozias is one of the most unique minded creatives out there. He has managed to define a well known style, reputation and enjoys keeping his work as intriguing as his obsessions.

Natalie De Witte

What's Her Face / Account Lead

All work and no play makes Natalie De Witte a dull girl and that just doesn't work for her, so she's sure to inject a little bit of fun into her life whenever she can. Whether she is operating as her self or under her alias, Roxy Darling, she's an unsung hero that always hits her mark and doesn't fear deadlines. For now she seeks refuge at GPA—adding to the world?s creative genius and slowly making the world a better place. She's a gi-normous fan of Family Guy, all things living, her boyfriend, and of course her teddy bear (which she sleeps with every night). Yes, every night.

Steve Williams

Chancellor / New Business Lead

Steve spends months at a time traveling around the world trying to live out his delusional fantasy of being James Bond (in the grey tux) and wooing "Bond Girls." His ultimate goal is to one day challenge the DOS Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World" to a series of moderately tough competitions that will test both his wit and courage. At times, Steve can also be quite serious. Occasionally he'll wake up, brew a serious cup of tea, practice a few serious martial arts moves, spend 6.3 minutes working on his serious stare that compliments his "I'm serious" look, before going out and getting some serious business.

John Awad

"It's the lights" / Photographer & Production Manager

John Awad wasn't born in Egypt, but he tells people he was. His success rate with that story is about a 99%. He's read every piece of work that Bukowski has written, hoping that those tales will further shape his life. John spends his night at the bar and his days at the track. He's always hoping to come in 1st on that 6-to-1 shot.
